Koedal, Inc. was founded in 2009 with a simple vision - create iOS and Android apps with user-focused design and do so with the utmost value to the customer and integrity in business practices. The customer, whether the end user or the client, is priority and all decisions are made with the customer in mind. It’s the only way we’ll ever believe in running a business. We create apps for all types - from individuals to large companies - and love doing it all. We’ll work tirelessly to help you realize your vision.
Headquartered at Geekdom in downtown San Antonio, Texas, we love to engage with the local community, creating mutual benefit from a more robust tech scene. Founder Collin Beck is active in Geekdom’s coworking community, runs the San Antonio iOS Developer Meetup, holds classes to teach iOS development, and runs an iOS bootcamp in partnership with local coding school Codeup.
Contact us with any and all questions. We’d love to hear from you.
Oh, and the name? Dutch for a lush valley with cows, Koedal is Beck’s great-great-great-great-great-grandfather’s last name, before he later changed it to Beck. But we also like that it sounds like “code all”. Because, we do indeed like to code it all.
An Apple enthusiast soon after his first Mac laptop, Collin Beck formed Koedal after working for USAA, where he was one of the original three developers of their app. He saw mobile as the future and wanted to use his expertise and vision to begin an app development company. A devoted husband and father of four, Beck and his family reside in San Antonio. There he’s a common sight in the local tech community, contributing, teaching, and sharing his knowledge.

Before UX was an acronym, Bill was refining his skills practicing and advocating design thinking and building products users enjoyed. He has worked on many diverse projects in the field of advanced avionics, K-12 education, business productivity, and social networking, serving in roles ranging from developer, to designer, to VP of Engineering, and CTO of a mobile startup. Bill is a dog person and a foodie and has never been able to figure out why the command line is so popular with many of his peers.
Mark has been practicing software engineering almost as long he's been practicing magic and kick boxing. Using his development skills and powers of illusion and kicking, he lead technology and engineering as CTO of Renaissance Learning, a leading K-12 educational software company. That was big, and now Mark likes working in a smaller team culture of motivated and talented mobile developers. As if being a magician wasn’t enough of a brag, he is also a maker, welder, wood worker, and grand-dad, making chips with his CNC, inventing games with his family, and working on the next must have gadget.
